Admission Circular, 2020-2021, has been published in one Government College and four Private Home Economics Colleges ( new name-Government College of Applied Human Sciences)  for DU affiliated Honors 4-year course under Dhaka University Home Economics Unit. Interested candidates (girls only) can fill up the online application form. Among the five colleges under Dhaka University, one is government, and five are private colleges.

Home Economics College Admission Eligibility

  • Only girls students can apply.
  • Students Must successfully complete the SSC or an equivalent test from any education board between 2016 and 2019 and the HSC or an equivalent exam in 2021.
  • The total grade point average must be at least 5.50, including the fourth subject in SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations. The application cannot be submitted if the GPA is below 2.50 in any exam.
  • The candidate must have passed at least 5 subjects in IGCSE 0-Level examination passed in 2016 or later in at least 2 subjects in the A-Level examination of 2021 (the last examination year for O-Level and A-Level will be considered as the year following the examination).
  • Students of any branch of Science, business education, and humanities can apply.

Home Economics College Admission Marks Distribution

The time for the admission test will be 1 hour, and the test will be in the MCQ method. The total number of 100 questions’ total marks will be 100, and the value of each question will be 1. The admission test questions will be as per the syllabus of the higher secondary level. Each candidate has to answer questions from a total of 4 subjects, including Bengali and English, and 2 optional subjects. Total marks 30 for each subject. The admission test pass number is 40. Candidates scoring less than 40 marks will not be considered for admission.
